Dr. Christian Balkcom was born in Charleston South Carolina, but was raised in Crystal River Florida, where he first experienced chiropractic care due to baseball/football injuries at the age of 15. Dr. Christian continued his studies at the University of South Florida and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science. While in Tampa, Dr. Christian was able to work with athletes and shadow chiropractic offices in the area, which assured his passion for the chiropractic in the competitive sports community. Dr. Christian went on to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic where he was a clinical rehab assistant until he graduated in March of 2021. Dr. Christian is a firm believer that proper movement is medicine, and has a strong focus on quality movement based practices. Dr. Christian is certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR). Dr. Christian not only loves helping patients get out of acute pain, but also allows them to optimize their own health, and exceed their expectations. When he is not at the office treating patients, Dr. Christian loves to be on the water, taking hikes with his dog, and playing golf.
